Ok, here's the thing. My arms are starting to get really toned and my stomach too but my thighs are so uggh. They have some extra fat and I really want to get rid of it! Does anyone know how I can get rid of the fat on my thighs and hips? And my bum. I hate that too cause It hangs and I was a firm bum that lifts up more? Anyone know any exercises and foods to stay away from to get these things fixed? Thank you :)

When gaining weight liek you shoudl be, the weight will go on in one sort of centralized area first (ie some ppl gain on their tummy, some on their hips, etc)...it will redistribute naturally, and no matter how muchyou excercise NOW it wont go on evenly sort of thing. In addition, everyone needs some fat and from your previous post you are likely lacking some essential fat- I would strongly advise you cut down on exercise..

I agree with gord, running is probably the very best thing for a lower body. I have bulky thighs too and it is incredibly frustrating. I stopped lifting weights a while back too because I wasn't getting leaner legs, just the same bulk but more defined bulk, lol. I just try to do lots and lots of intense cardio but don't do things with a lot of resistance like running uphill or stairsteppers - that tends to build muscle in the legs and bum.

Goota disagree here - those things build muscle - sustained moderate aerobic activity like jogging or walking is best for burning fat.

She is asking how to lift her butt and I don't know where you are getting your info but building muscle is the only way to lift sagging skin naturally. Unless you want to go under the knife. You can run or jog or walk and all you will do is lose fat (which is good but not for tightening muscles) but all of that will not firm your muscles for lifting you bum. The only thing that will do this in that form would be sprints. So squats, walking lunges and sprints are the way to go also cycling is great. Of course do not use heavy weights use what you can to more reps. Also Other great cardio exercises that target your fanny include kickboxing and stair climbing. In kickboxing, all those kicks (side kicks, roundhouse kicks, back kicks and fronts kicks) will target your butt, quadriceps and hamstrings and will help you with your balance and flexibility.Using the Stairmaster or Step Mill will also make maximum use of the glutes, hamstrings, quads...heck, every part of your legs!

No I adressed both. I don't think any fitness expert would argue the fact that building muscle will not only burn fat but will replace the fat with muscle.

I am just talking from personal experience. I have very muscular naturally bulky thighs and I am dooming myself to thunder thighs if I do a lot of weight bearing exercise. Plus, aerobic activities like running and walking DO also build enough muscle to burn the fat.

If you have a problem with very muscular thighs than I would suggest to you more cardio but still squats, lunges, and sprints. With weight for your situation you need to do more reps lighter weight to keep your muscle you don't want to lose that but lighter weight and more reps will give you leaner looking muscle.

I have had success with "The Firm" workouts. They have one that is a cardiosculpt and the other a bodysculpt. There is a lot of lunging involved and my legs are getting toned, but I feel like I am losing the saddlebags on the sides as well as getting more shape to my upper thighs and butt. They use the "fanny lifter" and I think it works!

Yes, unfortunately I tried that for many years and have also played sports like soccer with lots of sprinting, but it just doesn't work for me. Heck, even walking uphill bulks up my leg muscles. One exercise just does not fit all.

hi my name is tim and i dont know why you girls even my wife want to be bony, super thin, super model types, personally i think the models are way to skinny. i think a large percentage of men like a girl with something to grab. me personably like a meaty bum, and thick thighs it makes me so hot. my wife is short and thin and after the 3 kids she gained some weight and wants to loose it plus, i keep telling her that she is perfect and that she should maybe get a little more toned if she wants to , but i tell her to that she could gain a few pounds in her bum.lol lol lol ;) :) :)

hopen j...its just kind of embarassing when the girl is bigger than the man in the relationship. I weigh about 132 and my boyfriend weighs around 138 but my legs are so much bigger than his!
