It all depends on if they are imapcted and how badly. I had all 4 removed by a surgeon but only my bottom 2 were impacted and needed to be removed by him. My regular dentist said that he could have done the top 2 himself in his office but it was just easier to have all 4 done at once.
My best friend had hers removed at the dentist and didn't feel a thing. She didn't believe him when he told her it was over - I think it all depends on the position of the teeth and the chances of damaging surrounding teeth in the process.
