Every time I swallow I have this discomfort in my throat, as if something is in the way. My throat doesn’t really hurt, more of an annoyance but I have been taking cough drops with zinc in them. Before my throat started with this discomfort, I was having a lot of heart burn. Could this perhaps have irritated the throat? It’s just really annoying, it’s to the point that I don’t want to swallow because it feels weird and it scares me.

Any suggestion would be great! Thanks!!

No it doesnt really feel like its closing up just something in the way.

still gerd sorry to tell you i know it stink's how long have you been like this and have you seen a doctor yet you need to stop the caugh drop's cause sucking on hard candy caugh drop's to will only make it worse

just spit out my cough drop lol. This has been since this past wednesday or thursday. It isnt as bad as it was. I have been taking acid meds but it still is driving me nuts.I really don't want to go to the doctor so I am waiting a bit to see if it goes away which I am praying it will!

i hope for you it does i had the surgery for gerd and guess what im worse. oh don't chew gum either that will also bring up the acid.

surgery! wow!I'm sorry you are worse! I just now got a really sharp pain in my throat. I am praying it goes away and fast!!!!!!!!

yeah im still takeing meds just as much as i was before the surgery it just gave me more problem's on top of the one i already had stomache hurt's everytime i eat food get's stuck i have spasm's in my esphogous and the gas is horriable can't go anywhere afraid to have a burping or another kind of attack and these doctor's offer me no help stomache also get's bloated like im pregnant so if they offer you surgery please think about it hard

Well I have good news, whatever it was, stopped. I have been taking acid pills so I guess that helped. I just have to keep an eye on it and the things I eat.

wow im so happy for you i wish i had good new's but i don't still can't get my food down. and now they think i have a block in my intestine's. but i truly am happy for you anyone who get's better is really lucky.
