hi, i had to stop the pill because my mother had 2 strokes (she is only 37) while taking a hormone pill, and now that i have a family history of stroke i feel i probably shouldnt take the pill anymore. the thing is, i have 2 kids, my DD is 2 and my son is 7 months old, i am not ready to call it quits on kids permanently (although i think i am probably done) my husband and i are only 20 and 21 years old.

what type of non hormonal BC have you tried with effective results?

i was considering the cervical cap (its like a diaphram you put in before intercourse.)

How about an IUD?

that is still hormonal isnt it?

as i said i cant use anything hormonal because of the history of stroke in my imediate family.....

IUD exists in a hormonal version (mirena) and in a non-hormonal version...
