View Full Version : newbie's pill question

I'm in my 3rd or 4th month of using the pill. I've loved it. The first month I had some breakthrough bleeding and was told that that is normal for the first fewmonths. It didn't happen again untill this month, about a week before my period should have been. Is this still just my body getting used to the pill? Maybe I should be on a different one? Or should I keep holding out a little bit longer. It would seem such a waste to go to the doctor just to swich b.c. pill brands. Is patience the answer?

Hi, if I were you, I would just give it some time. It may take your body time to adjust to the new artificial hormones. If it doesn't regulate within six months, or you notice other changes (such as in your mood), then I go back and talk to your doctor about changing brands.
