yesterday, out of nowhere, my ear started hurting. if i yawn or burp or swallow too hard, it hurts deep inside the ear. it sounds/feels like it's popping, but more painful. it feels like it felt when i had an ear infection a few years ago. how do you get an ear infection and what can i do to make it go away? is there anything else it could be? thanks.

Try chewing gum prefferably teeth cleaning gum that'll eventually pop your ears and I heard may also help w/ some ear pain cuz it gets out air pressure (OWWW My right ear hurts a little also).

hehehe, i am chewing gum lol. it's not helping. it's not the same feeling as when my ears need to pop. sometimes if i swallow too hard or something like that, my ear pops, but i don't have muffled hearing. i'm almost positive it's an ear infection. does anyone have any home remedies? what about something over the counter i could take? thanks.
