I'm on day 7 of Strattera, now at 80mg/day also. I'm also experiencing the "head numbness", as you describe it. My jaw and neck also feel strange.

I'm getting minor benefit from it for my ADD symptoms, and the side effects are enough that I want to explore other alternatives, namely, Adderall.

yeah after the first day i couldn't take it.. i felt if i was gonna do it for a few more days that i would OD on it so i just quit taking it all together... might try the 40mg a day again once i get over my cold... i dont know if getting off of it cold turkey will give you insomnia but i feel completely wired for a few days now...

When first diagnosed with ADHD, I was put on Strattera. I started with 40mg and over the course of the next year went up to 100mg distributed thoughout the day. Did nothing for me other than making me a little dizzy and causing regular impotence. After about a year that we went adderall. Thats when the fuzzy pic became clear.

It seems strattera is approached as a first alternative to stimulants. Possibly as stimulants are what they are...stimulants. But dont let that scare you. They work wonders with those having ADD/ADHD.

Best of luck.

I'm a 56 year old male who's been taking 80 mg. for over a year and never experienced the "head numbness". Noticed that Straterra tends to clear my thoughts so that I don't typically "dwell" and "over-dwell" on a project ("analysis to paralysis"). Eventually needed to supplement with 36 mg. of Concerta to "push" me through.
