I posted on here several days ago. Anyway I am 23 yrs old and had a colonoscopy that showed IBS. Since Saturday I have been having problems. It was like I was constipated but when I went it was runny. I had taken the Librax and a Tums on Friday, so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. On Sunday, I took a Zelnorm hoping it would make be go. It didn't do anything until Monday, when I couldn't get off the toilet. But I haven't been going normal. I'll go and it will be formed, then the next time I go it will be globs of mucous. The cramping and pain is so severe. This morning all I keep passing is mucous with red specks. It feels like I have to go real bad like I'm still constipated but nothing else will come out. It's like that feeling when your vommiting and you have nothing left to bring up and your just dry heaving. What should I do? Should I take something to relax? I called the doctors office but their not in yet. I'm so scared and don't know if I should go to the ER or just try to rest? Please help someone!!!

Hi Fairy, when my IBS (d) started i had similar problems with the feeling i had to go again and again and not feeling as though i was finished and i also had the feelings u mentioned about like when ur vomitting but nothing there, that was the same way i described it to my GP, he put me on anti spasmodics and they worked a treat, gert urself to the GP and ask about them, it helps a lot ;)
