Hello!
i posted something this week about not really having a period on yasmin....so im thinking of changing to orth tri cyclin (i think i spelt that wrong!). I get spots so i dont wanna to trigger them in any way and i heard that this pill is good for ur skin. Does anyone have any experience with this? And, i dont mean to sound like an idiot, hehe, but my boobs have completely gone since going on the pill...will ortho make my boobs any bigger!? Added advantages like that are great ;)
Oh and...i went on the pill at 16 coz be periods were'nt regular...im 19 now and when i came off the pill for a little last year my period didnt come in about 3 months! Do u think there couldnt be anything wrong or might it just have to regulate on its own without the pill?
Thanks

i've been on ortho in the past. i am currently on yasmin. i hated ortho and love yasmin. ortho never cleared up my skin. yasmin keeps my face clear and i have no side effects. but you can react differently to it so ask for samples from you doctor. my doctor gave me three months to try out before buying it on my own.

i think we are both in the same boat. when i was younger i never got my period like all the other girls. if i was lucky i would get it every three months or so. everyone said i was lucky but i felt like i was not normal. i was excited to get my period. i saw a doctor and he put me on progestin pills. i took them for ten days and a few days later i got my period. i wasn't a real period. it was just my body reacting to the drop in hormones. your lack of periods can be attributed to several things. stress, being underweight, too much or not enough of one kind of hormones. i am now 26 and my period has just started to get normal in the last year or so. as i got older my cycles slowly became 60 days, 50 days, 45 days...I am pretty normal now. I am on spironolactone to help keep my face clear.

Hey,

I have never been on that pill but if your not doing good on that pill try cilest. I'm on that one and it is very good for the skin and periods. At the age of 16 i used to get painful and heavy periods, so i went to the doctor and he put me on cilest. Ever since then my periods have been light, less painful and my skin has cleared up. I don't suffer from many spots now. Talk to your doctor about your pill and maybe suggest cilest. Good luck x

Hello. I was on Yasmin and it does give you a very very light period. This is part of the benfit of Yasmin. But if you're not happy with it, then speak to your doctor about changing your contraceptive medication.

I was on yasmin for cysts, and while it didnt help that it did clear up my skin but i haven't had my period since! I'm on deppo now, and still haven't!!! I was pretty regular until yasmin, It came montly but it didnt come the same number of days apart! I can't say I miss my period though, it's kinda nice! :) I used to get really sick durring mine, so im enjoying my time until my dr and i can get it back!
