hi everyone i'm new in here i'm 22 and 7 months pregenent i was just wondering if anyone has or knows about HRHU as my unborn baby has this and i dont know that much about it......... any advice will be great

Hi Nicole,

Do you mean HRHS? Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. It is a from of Tricuspid Atresia where the right side of the heart is affected. I have Tricuspid Atresia or some times called HRHS and even Univentricular Heart Defect.

I am 34 and have several surgeries. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

yes thats what i mean. i dont know a lot about it but he's missing the right side of he's heart.so do u have this?i havn't talked to anyone who really know's anything about it so what are the chance's of survival i hate to ask but i'm so scared for my baby if u dont mind me asking what do they actually do after birth.

Sorry it has taken me so long ot get back to you but I have been really sick lately.

Anyway there are many forms of HRHS so you really need ot find out (probably after your baby is born) just exactly what type they have. But the normal prcedure is a three step surgery. One soon after birth, then one around 6 months or a year (i think), and the last is when they are around 4 if tht is the course they will be traveling.

Like I said in my previous post I am 34 had my last major over 18 years ago. I don't really know what else to tell you. Feel free to ask anything you want.
