I just noticed today!
I am on ortho tricylclein. (or however you spell it)
There is 4 lines of pills - white, light blue, blue and placebo.
I took the first line of white pills.
But then when I went to take it on sunday I accidently jumped to the next line (took a blue instead of light blue!) but then on mon, tues, wed I continued with where I was supposed to be without evening noticing my mistake on sunday (took the light blue) So I called planned parenthood and she said my sundays will just be backwards but to use a back up method. But I had sex with my bf yesterday because I did not notice my mistake until today! My bf and I don't use condoms (we have been together close to 3 years) but he never ejaculates inside of me. Do you think I am safe??

You are so safe! Even if you had taken a placebo, you would have been safe. Plenty of times I have missed a pill without realizing it until much later....and it has always worked out. I have over twenty years of experience with ortho tricyclen...and I never got pregnant because I missed a pill. You didn't even totally miss...you just got a slightly lower dose.

I would be careful. I did something similar and my doctor told me that I should be protected because I have been on birth control for such a long period of time. Like you, I had sex with my bf who I have been with for 5 years- we don't use condoms anymore either. I ended up getting pregnant from that mistake. I am not trying to scare you...just want to let you know that things can happen. Good luck and be careful!

She doesn't mean a pill of the last row, she means pill of the last row BEFORE the placebos. I think you should be pretty safe...

yeah, I took the dark blue sunday pill with 250mg norgestimate instead of the light blue pill with 215 norgestimate. So I had extra norgestimate then I had sex without a condom. This week that means I will be getting less norgestimate but I will not be having sex.

the fact that you took and active pill should be ok.. esp since it was just one day of the different hormone amount. I wouldn't worry about a thing. If you took the placebo instead, I would say maybe there's a chance of pregnancy.. but it sounds like you shouldn't have any problems other than taking a different pill on the Sundays.
