Hey I am a 27 year old female. I have been experiencing a fever since Nov. 7/05...My doctor can't seem to find the source of my infection...I was on ciprofloxcin for 10 days and am currently on prednisone...Nothing seems to work...I also have sever pain in my upper right abdominal region and sever back pain...Need some kind of answer or advice... :confused:

lilbear1978 , fever means most likely infection somewhere in your body.The region of your body where the pain is could possibly be Gallstones or Liver inflammed. Find another doc, thats way too long for a fever (nov7) harry!!

I had my liver checked (ultrasound) and all that it showed was a little inflamation the doc said nothing to worry about...I still have a fever today it went as high as 101.7...Don't know what the heck to do???????????

Go to another doctor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A little Liver inflammation is not nornal (hepatitis?,cancer? etc,) What was your liver enzymes? (blood test) also did he ultrasound the Gallbladder? Again go to another DR..or the ER !! Best wishes !! harry!

Definetly get your gallbladder checked out. I have galstones and that's where it hurts on me. In the meantime I recomend going to your local healthfood store and getting some MSM, flax oil, and epsom salt. If the problem isn't your gallbladder those things won't hurt you anyway. Take all as directed on the packages. MSM is an enzyme that apparantly your body needs, but isn't in most of the foods that you get. I don't know a whole lot about it, only that when I was taking it I was much better and now that I've quit I'm getting bad again. Flax seed oil worked wonders too, it keeps things flowing smoothly in your body. It's choc full of omegas. Epsom salt relaxes smooth muscles and helps me when I have organ pain.
Does the pain get worse if you get really hungry, or a bit after you eat? Does it feel swolen? Is it tender to the touch or when you move, or just generally painful?

I had an ultrasound on my gallbladder and nothing was found no gallstones all the doctor said is that they noticed my liver was a little swollen and that he is not to concerned because sometimes when you have had an iv it can cause a bit of swelling in different areas of the body...My doctor is think maybe lymphoma or something along that line...I don't know i guess I will just have to wait and see. :eek:
