Yesterday I actually mixed up and baked SEVEN DOZEN Christmas cookies!! :D (Took forever because for reasons too complicated to go into right now, I did it all in a toaster oven, six cookies at a time.) I am amazed because last year, even though my MS wasn't acting up as badly as it has these past few months, I didn't do much of anything to create a normal Christmas (I think my fatigue made the weeks go by too fast). This year, I had the stamina to do some baking and actually enjoyed the experience (Thank you, Amantadine!). :bouncing:
Of course, I'm quite tired today (but not that awful ennervating exhaustion I usually felt with MS in the past).

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know that you must feel very productive, I know that I would, I used to bake and bake for the holidays, and now I order from a bakery
We had a snow and ice storm Thursday & Friday and I went out on Friday to clean off my car, well it took a very long time the ice was 1/4 inch thick, with about 6 inches of snow on top of that. After I was finished I came back inside, got in my recliner and took a 3 hour nap!!!
My neuro had suggested Amantadine, I just don't want to be taking too many drugs, but maybe I will change my mind after hearing how much energy it gives you
You should be very proud of yourself for accomplishing a huge task :bouncing:
Enjoy the Holidays!

What I like about the Amantadine is that it's not a real "upper" or something that makes me hyper or jittery. It just gives me stamina without any huge fanfare... Just "normal," steady energy level.
(PS: Thanks!)

FYI: I KNOW it's the Amantadine because I forgot to take my morning pill on Sunday and couldn't get home to take it until well into the afternoon (so I actually missed two doses). It was terrible within a couple of hours. It was "Oh, This is how it WAS." Like I'd somehow forgotten how bad the fatigue affects me. In such a short time -- unbelievable!! So. I'll make sure to stick to the schedule from here on out!
