I just battled w/ severe viral bronchitis..and back problems-prior to sub detox..im doing ok tho-
im so happy to see you here..we missed you..and your brutally frank commentary..
please give us an update on your recovery..

CHEF...............................where have ya been ole pal,it is so good to hear from ya and especially with the news of finally bein sober.congrats my friend you deserve it more than anyone.it has been a long journey for you and many ups and downs im sure.are you still in the sunshine state and hows the restaurant bus. goin?this is the best news and i know you have struggled over the yrs,much longer than me and most on the board.if you can give us an update on the last couple of yrs.i knew you were on methadone for the pain and w/d.jhow did you get off the meth im sure it was hell any way you went.just wanted to say hi and glad you are back and clean.lets keep it that way.i myself cannot say im sober.good luck my friend-spark

You're back! Oh, gawd, I've missed your "brutality"!!! :-) I tried calling you "out" a couple of times.....I knew you'd had such bad injuries after that storm last year...so I was kinda worried. I am so glad you checked back in again.

And--you drew out Lisahubbbb,too---she'd disappeared for a long time too!!! (I thought you might have fallen into your new house, Lisa! :-)

I really want to hear how both of you are doing. That must have been so tough, Chef, getting off of Methadone.

I'm on Sub and doing pretty much 100 percent better than I was before it! There's no 'highs" to look forward to (!!)--but life feels more like it used to in the old days. I know that Sub is still considered a "chemical helper". But it feels nothing like those opiates---nothing at all. There's no waiting around for highs, no coming up with new stories for the doctor, etc, etc. So--it works for me.

Goddessgirl is my "model" of course--since she tapered off the Sub and is now working on her own steam! LOL!

wow,ive got some good freinds here....thanks guys....been busy with the cafe...got one more year left on the lease....was in the hospital cause i got into a wreck driving to the hospital...response time for a ambulance is 25 min outr here in the sticks...yes fla has country besides the ocean....had three broken ribs due to a fence jumpin accident...aint 18 anymore,just turned 46....almost passed out behind wheel and hit a van....neck really hurts...in july had mri's neck back,discs degernated....in pain everday but havent done opiates for months...used subutex for a month after stopped doing methadone.....i hurt for a month although,the usual w/d crap....since then had a couple teeth pulled and was given hydro....just doesnt feel the same...didnt have desire to take 10 of them...impulses are gone....still doin the 12 step meetings but have missed last 2 weeks cause ex-wife had my license suspended cause i didnt pay child support for three months when i was out with my back,neck........ribs,aargh..glad everyone is okeeie dokie.....gotta go cook will stop back later....thanks guys,you made my day.....clean/sober...chef

WOOOHOOO...The gangs all here-what a blessing..and needed since we are all mostly sober/clean etc..doesn't matter-we supported each other in the darkest of times..the planets converged..YES!!
