I am 17 years old and have been in a sort of panic lately. I noticed about a year ago a very hard lump on my left breast out to the side sort of? I told my mom about and she said it was a "milk gland" but it's about half the size of a dime, I can pinch around it and it feels like a hard ball of rubber or something. Then, recently I've been having strange pains in my chest behind my left breast, or sometimes both that are extremely sharp. I've never had those types of pains before? I'm curious whether or not this could be something serious, I've been putting off seeing a doctor about it for a while because that is a sensitive area and to be honest I'm really scared.

You need to call your dr or have your mom schedule an appointment just to make sure.

any update? Your description of how the lump feels & its location is exactly the same as what I have (popped up 3 weeks ago), but I haven't been in to see a doctor yet (no insurance)
