My entire genital area seems to have a dimenished sensitivity, not quite numb but kind of numb feeling. At first I thought that feeling was from the vaginal cream that I was using for the horrible itching but I've not used that in a over a week. It's even numb feeling around my anus area...ANYONE????? :confused:

I actually have had the opposite experience. I have an inhanced sensitivity. This is kind of an upside to having herpes, if that's what I have, not sure yet. But I can have an orgasm in a minute sometimes! That's crazy fast for me!

Maybe it's the cream you're using that's numbing you. What is that cream marketed to be used for exactly? Yeast infections? I found out I've had a yeast infection, for how long, I don't know. It's very hard for me to tell since the symptoms for herpes and yeast infections are so similar.

I got tested for HSVI and HSVII at this latest Planned Parenthood visit. I'm back on acyclovir too. But again, it only seems to work for a few hours at a time. As soon as I stop taking it the symptoms come back, ugh! This time they said I could take it for 10 days straight instead of the usual 5 days. I'll see how that goes. I just hate taking presciption meds!

Are your symptoms easing to any significant degree? It sounds as though you only have itching now, right? No more sores, redness? Did you have big sores and lots of them before? Would one develop, heel, only to have another one form? My sores have been like that, and very small, pinhole size or sometimes a tiny bit bigger. The nurse who examined me said she couldn't say for sure it was herpes from examining me.

The cream is like the generic version of Vagisil just for vaginal itching, I don't have a yeast infection. The itching has migrated to my hips and there was just a rash but I scratched it and one of those itching clusters of blisters kind of like poison ivy came up! Sheesh! OK so the bumps on me at the very first were like ingrown hairs from shaving then they got bigger and they were sore, much more sore than an ingrown hair from shaving. There were about 4 on my pelvic bone, one on each side of my vagina over in the pubic hair area...then one on each side of my rear. I think that I may have spread them around by shaving before I realized what it was! Then they just got sorer and sorer! A couple more popped up here and there and then the next thing I knew they became these clusters of blisters and I just saw Backpacker describe them as being like poison ivy (I was telling my BF that the best way to describe this is like poison ivy feeling) and at that point they itched horribly!!!!! I have also had very painful urination and frequent urination, headaches, pain in legs and feet, swollen glands, some bloody discharge, but I think the worse of all has been the itch on my hips...it has been like poison ivy times 20! The itching was almost unbearable, that's why I scratched a place and it turned into a sore because I just had to scratch!
