My last period was Oct. 24th. A couple times since then after urinating and wiped myself it was a little pink, and there was nothing the next day. I keep getting off and on pains right on the pubic mound, still no period. This is the first time I have even gone this long without one. Could it be its just stopping now for good? I seem to be in perimenopause a yr now, one month with a long period then pretty much on schedule up until this past Oct.. Should I be concerned, or is this the norm? Is there a chance I could get another period in the futire? I turned 52 on Dec. 9th, my mom and sister both totally stopped at 53. Thank you

Hi Terri,
Most likely you will have another period. I started skipping periods here and there when I was about 46 or 47. Then when I turned 48, I started going months without a period. I would think that was it for me, then only to have another period and then go for a long period again without one. This time (I am almost 52 now) I am right at my one-year mark. Last year I had gone from March to Dec without one. Everyone is individual, but I would bet money that you will continue to do this until you stop for good.
