I know eggs have cholesteral in them so that can be bad for someone who has problems with there cholesteral. I have 1 egg for breakfast with whole grain toast about 3x a week. I do not have cholesteral problems at all. Not yet anyway but I don't want to cause problems in the future. So can eating eggs 3x a week cause a problem. I did recently buy some egg beaters and they do not have the yolk in them so they also don't have the cholesteral that regular eggs do. I have them every once in a while too.

If you had cholesterol problems i'd say stay away from anything with high cholesterol but since you do not i say eat up. 3x a week is not a problem.

Eggs have some bad cholesterol, but also good cholesterol. Unless you have cholesterol problems I wouldn't worry about eating eggs, they contain a lot of nutrients that are good for your body. However, I do believe in the claims of some that oxidised egg yolk is bad, preferably you should not break the egg yolk before/during cooking. So try and avoid scrambled eggs, omelets...

I'd say 3 eggs a week is perfectly fine but a dozen a week is over the top.
Disclaimer: I DO take cholesterol medication.

My PCP (very conservative on such matters) says 7 a week is fine.

My husband eats about 3 eggs a week except for he eats them all at once. He'll sit down on the weekend and have three eggs toast with butter and bacon. I worry about his health. He's never had high cholesteral when he's went to the doctor but man that's really a lot of bad fat to be consuming. Do they make eggs that are lower in cholesteral that I could use and he would never know. I heard Egg land's best are supposed to be better for you. Do they have less cholesteral?

Kari, I don't believe the Eggland's have any less cholesterol than regular eggs. I think they have added Omega 3's. They sure taste awesome, tho, and they are THE BEST for baking!
As for your hubby, if he doesn't have issues with cholesterol and only eats three a week, I just don't see a concern there. I don't think eggs are a "bad fat" food. Now, the bacon and butter might be another story, tho. That can easily be remedied with Smart Balance or a spread that doesn't contain partially hydrogenated oils and turkey bacon or sausage (I know, I know...not the same, but it's close!).
You can try Egg Beaters if you're really concerned. All you can really do with them, aside from baking, is scrambled eggs, but they taste the same.
BTW, I do have high cholesterol and am trying to avoid medication for it, so I'm reading everything I can about bad fats and foods high in cholesterol, a/k/a eggs, shrimp, cheese, red meat...ahh, all the yummy foods :)
Good luck!
