:confused: One month to the day after gallbladder surgery and I'm STILL experiencing these very strange "sensations" at the incision site just under my right top rib. The only way I can describe it to you, is a gripping burning sensation. Is this just the normal healing of the nerves that were severed during the operation or is something wrong? They come and go....for instance, today --and granted I was doing alot of pre-Christmas cleaning and decorating, I experienced these sensations 6 different times, each time lasting maybe a minute. Thankyou for your input om this.

Incisions can be painful, numb, itchy, etc. as they are healing. You might call your doctor just to make sure that nothing funny is going on with the nerves, but it's probably fine, and will fade with time.
