I've just learned my 21 yr old grandson has been involved with dilaudid off and on over the past year. I'm trying to help his family locate treatment resources in the Wash. DC area. He is away from the drug right now, with his family, visiting relatives abroad, and dealing with some withdrawl, but apparently not severely. But he has to come back home sometime, and from what I hear seems to be ready to enter treatment. Since I've got a lot of time, I'm trying to do some research on treatment options, probably residential initially, and any recommendations or reports on programs with a high success rate would be very much appreciated.
Just a little vent - it's breaking my heart. He's intellligent, attractive, has great parents, not "spoiled", but very subject to peer pressure. I think he has great potential, if he can get past this.
