okay, basically I am 19 and had sex recently for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was with a girl I knew not to well and have not spoken to since (basically a 1 nite stand). Anyways I wore a condom and also got oral sex. Lately I have been feeling nervous, maybe because it was the first time, that I had caught something. I felt a small bump above my penis that went away after a week and a half. Then another small bump next to the right side of my scrotum. They didn't really look or hurt or feel bad. Yesterday I saw wat appeared to be a VERY tiny white head below the tip of the head of you know. It was barely anything. I guess I am worried that I got herpes but on the board apparently 1 in 4 americans has genital herpes, but I am upset because it happened on my first time if it happened and I wore a condom. If I did catch anything I don't even know where to get tested or who to ask for a test or what kind of doctor of any of those questions. I guess I feel very upset right now. Any kinds of advice and tips on what to do and not to do, etc woul help me out a lot. Also, I searched up symptoms of herpes that include like flu symptons and like pain and I haven't felt that and I looked up pictures on google and those pictures looked a LOT different and a LOT worse. I maybe don't have anything and am being paranoid but maybe I do. Anyways any advice on sex, where to get different tests and similar experiences and also other things that I could have gotten or if I am being paranoid would help me A LOT. Thank you so much guys.

Many people have herpes, you can't tell by looking at them or how well you know them or how long you've known them and in fact many have herpes and they themselves do not know it. Assume perhaps that what you have is herpes and you never get another sign of it and brush it off as nothing...you still have herpes, you just don't realize it. I believe this is happening a whole lot! It's a strange virus, everyone has different symptoms. Some so mild they aren't even noticed and some so horrible(like mine!) that I don't need a test to know I have it. You probably will not get a positive test result until about 4 months from exposure if you have it. As I understand, the testing isn't very reliable but the one you need to have is called a IgG blood test and have them test for herpes 1 and 2!!!!! I'm not sure what type of doctor you need to go to for a man because I'd probably go to a gynocologist. I've heard people suggest planned parenthood but you can call PPH and ask them, I'm sure they will know the best place to be tested for STDs!
Another thing, do these bumps have pustules that can be popped with a white puss(sorry) coming out. If so, that's not how herpes is...that would probably be just an irritated hair follicle. Herpes sore like to ooze clear and then peel layers of skin as they heal. Some will turn into patches of itching blisters much like a poison ivy rash and just as itchy. You don't have to have any kind of flu feelings at all.

hey keepsgoing, basically its like this, i can take a better look at myself
a week ago i got freaked out adn shaved myself down there which did cause a bit of a rash (in the areas i shaved) which knocks out the theory or somethin like that. But a week and a half after the sexual encounter, I had a bump above the penis area (where hair is) this bump is not visible only to the touch. then i got the same thing near the scrotum on the bottom on the right side. Then I got a tiny littl bump that i can not even identify on the actual penis.Today i got what looks to be a pimples (with pus) around the hair area. I just don't know any more???
