Well, it's finally come. I'm having an EMG and Nerve conduction test done tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, though. I've heard stories from "oh, gosh, it was awful," to "Oh, it wasn't so bad," so I have no idea what to expect. Needles are involved so it's probably gonna hurt. I have the follow-up on Jan 2nd, so I'll know then what the problem is exactly and how bad it is. My problem is that part of my hands go numb at night, most often my left hand, but not if I sleep on my back, which I HATE. I'm a stomach sleeper. Then, some times during the day if I lean on my elbow or whatever, my fingers will start to tingle (my pinky, ring finger and sometimes my middle finger). The PT I saw for about a month is confident it's cubital tunnel - it makes sense. Workman's Comp from my job is paying for the EMG/NCS. Well, they better be, they're the ones who said I needed this done. Anyway, if anybody has any personal experience they want to share, how they do the EMG, what they do, should I wear a T-shirt, etc... and any other advice that might be useful. I will post tomorrow with how the EMG went. Take Care.
