So I went to this site and found my calorie intake and then a calorie intake for my desired weight. It told me that i'm currenlty eating 1821 and i should drop to 1721 or something in order to lose about 12 pounds. 1721 calories seems like alot to me.
I then took my BMR and it told me i had 1441 and my desired weight should be 1394. What is this saying?

try to find an online calculator to determine how many calories it takes to maintain your current weight. then subtract 500 calories from that. that's what you should eat per day to lose around 1 lb a week. good luck!

BMR is the amount of calories you would burn if you would sleep all day long. To know how many calories you really need each day, you need to multiply this with a certain factor, depending on how active you are etc. So your BMR is NOT the amount you should be eating to maintain weight.
