View Full Version : Any way to avoid craze lines (surface tooth fractures)?

In the past year I have been experiencing problems with my teeth that I have never had before, such as cracking and fracture lines in various teeth. I do not know exactly what is causing this, but it has really got me upset and looking for solutions to prevent it from continuing.

I usually get the cracks from biting on hard objects. However this has never happened before, my teeth were always really strong. Can age (I'm 40) or heredity have anything to do with this? My father says he has the same problems.

Also, can these "craze lines" (surface fractures) ever heal, or do they possibly just get worse?

If you have any suggestions or questions or comments, I'd be grateful.

Thank you!
