i'm 23 and i had a very bad rootcanal retreatment done last sept. After my treatment i had the crown put on and i was on vicodin to relieve the pain.So everything was fine until today.Well the tooth started hurting so bad,it hurts my right side of my head,my jaw, above my eyearea.I just moved to DC and don't have dental coverage. My question is how much would it cost me to get it out?And where is it cheap to go to get the tooth extracted? Please,i don't know what to do with the pain.

Do you have medical coverage? I ask because if I go to an oral surgeon it is covered under medical rather than dental. Hope you feel better soon

go to a university hospital - it is generally less expensive AND you are dealing with people learning. I suggest you tell them (or make sure) that they debride a bit under the area of the extraction and take a culture to rule out infection.

My extraction of a molar from an oral surgeon including the anesthesia (put under) was $685.
