Prior to my daughter's surgery I did a lot of searches and found a site that had a live operating room. I don't think they ever interviewed the patients, but the drs usually did an interview and explained what was going on during surgery. OR Live went to various hospitals and showed various operations, not only back. you can search the site and see if your procedure has ever been shown. I think I found a TLIF procedure which is what my daughter had and I watched it. If one is coming up live that pertains to you, you can email questions in. My daughter's 6 1/2 mo post op a two level fusion and went ice skating yesterday, with her dr permission. So I guess there is light at the end of the recovery tunnel. Good luck. cas
