Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

I have been hearing my pulse in my ear for about 2 years now. The whooshing and ringing has stepped up too, so the noise in my ears drives me crazy. Part of it is hereditary, as my dad and my grandma had the it too. The part that concerns me is hearing my pulse in my ear 24/7. Does anyone else get this?

Thanks all,

Lynn

I have heard this before and it was usually because my sinuses or ears were stopped up. Also, it can be a sign of high blood pressure.

I've also had pulsing, in my left ear for about two years. I saw an ear, nose, and throat specialist and had a MRI and blood work done -- everything normal. He said he thought it might be due to bone loss in the ear. I do notice it gets worse when I'm anxious, and it's very annoying at night when I change positions and hear my pulse speed up. I'm sorry you have this too, and wish I could offer you a solution! I think it is a good idea to get it checked out by a doctor, since other things can cause this.

Merry Christmas :)

My ear does this when I am nervous or upset. I think it is related to my high blood pressure. I hate it. It really interferes with my hearing sometimes.
