I guess this is considered a Bowel Disorder. For a little over a year now I've had a problem with my anus. At first I thought it was just something from sweating when I'm at work but now that I'm not working there anymore I'm beginning to wonder. It doesn't itch all the time, mainly during the later hours of the evenings when I'm at home. If I'm on the move or busy I never notice this problem. I checked it out with a mirror and there is a really red area around my anus. It looks really chapped. I notice in my boxers sometimes that there are white marks (looks almost like dry skin). Sometimes are I use the bathroom and wipe there will be blood on the tissue paper. I'm not sure if its internal or from the red area trying to heal and then being torn again. Any ideas?

You most likely have a hemorrhoid (because of the blood). This happens from straining when you have a bowel movement. It is a kind of vericous vein in the anus. There are a number of ointments to use for this. They help with the itching and swelling. You are also probably getting red there from scratching the area.

What are some good ointments that work well? I have no idea where to even begin looking.
