Can GERD cause any stomach issues?? Like stomach aches or cramps or anything? I am just wondering...

I am suspecting it does.
When you block acid, your food is harder to digest. Enzymes and probiotics can help. Try throat coat and/or ginger tea also.
I have GERD pretty bad and I am going in for a lower GI now because of lower ab pain and cramping. Wakes me up with horrible pain.
I live on the west coast and as if GERD is not bad enough, trying to get an appointment with a GI specialist here takes weeks or months.
When I have gone to the emergency room they just give me drugs and ask if I feel better now. I keep thinking I'm having a galbladder attack or something. Very scary not knowing what is wrong with you for months at a time.
