Is it possible for some1 to post a link or direct me to a site that has "herpes stages in pictures"? From the 1st starting case of it to its final days before departer? Some visuals for the eye to keep track of so for ppl like myself (who is in the middle of not knowing and no tests yet) that visuals would help out to keep track of how it looks as it develops... I feel that symptoms are a good way to have an idea on what can be happening to the body but for ppl like myself who rather have pictures then words could work allot better. (like some ppl say, I learn as I watch you work but for others it could be hands on. For me im a visual, I need to see stages for me to kinda keep an accurate track) I also do know that it does differ from person to person in signs etc.. but this is purly to see a random stages in effect.. Hope i didnt ramble on and on but in my opinion this could be good for allot of ppl to see.

I can't say that exists. I will tell you what the stages of my sores were...first the were like knots under the skin(and painful) and some opened up and some did not...they oozed clear puss...then as I thought they were going the heck away as it had been at least 10 days and they were getting smaller, they turned into clusters of blisters that oozed like crazy and that's when the itching started. They still hurt like someone had hit me in my crotch but they itched something horrible too. It took over a month for the sores to finally go away but even now almost 2 months from my first outbreak, they still hurt(dull aching) but nothing is there?????!!!!! But there just isn't a way to tell you a natural progression of this virus as it's just so different from case to case. I do think that it is common for them to hurt at first and then itch later on. My BF only gets a little raw looking spot on his penis that pops up out of nowhere and then just goes away in about a little over a week. Some people only have itching like a yeast infection...some only burning during urination...I think that's the reason it's so hard for people to even know they have it. I think that people that are not familiar(people like me before I got it!) with herpes and haven't read up on it, assume it looks like ulcers all over your genitals but unfortunately it's not that obvious. Mine looked nothing like those hideous pictures on the internet...didn't look good but didn't look that hideous!

Hmmm that sucks.. sorry to hear that. I was just like you right now.. "If" I do have it im un aware of it so far.. The only thing that I can say I have a symptom of is a tingling sensation in the croch area. No sores, no aches, no pain, headachs, or anything else.. just this annoying tingling.. Maybe jock itch? Reason I asked for pictures is because in the past I had an hiv/aids scare and the sec i had that scare.. almost every symptom arose but guess what, it was all in my head and turned out I was clean.. then one day this tingling feelign came out of no where.. at 1st i didnt mind it but then i noticed it was becoming constant.. not all day but every day.. not too much of it but enough to know its happening.. and what happened.. me knowing about these boards because of the hiv scare I read up on it and now its like the hiv scare.. things are popping up and feelings and instead of my brain messing with me I wanted to have a visual to keep an eye out for it. I know its also good to get tested but im 1 of the billions of ppl that is too scared to check until im almost certain it could be.. I am not active so im not worried too much about passing it so for now im just trying to see early signs/pictures of the growth of it to be sure

and another question.. if their are no pictures of stages of herpes... then from medical knowlage or personal exp.. wht were each stages time frame for you? (i.e. the 1st stage took 2 days, the 2nd 3 days etc...) And again I know they differ from person to person but at least id know a kinda time frame for each episod to occure.

Thanks

To tell you the truth, this has been going on so long that's I've lost track of how long different stages lasted. Here again, from everyone I've read about, everyone has different time periods that these stages last. Some people have lesions that last a week or less and some have lesions that last weeks. I think I had mine for about a month, maybe even longer before they were totally gone. If you can make yourself have symptoms from just worrying about it, then that tinging feeling may not even be real. Just go and have that IgG test done and try to put your mind at ease.

See but thats the thing.. when i had that hiv scare... thats when all these symptoms came... now the tingling started before I had any thoughts, then as i was reading diff boards then came to herpes i read on the tingling.. thats when it really started to get to me
