Sponsor trekgeek 01-02-2006, 09:38 PM If you have flaking, it could be from the thickness of your hair - meaning - sometimes (especially if you have low water pressure in your shower or prefer to take a bath) we don't get all the shampoo out of our hair. When you leave shampoo in the hair -and you'll notice this in the back of your hair mostly - it will be flakey and maybe even give off a little odor. OR you really do have dandruff, in which case it is not usually cured with and over the counter product. Those products usually just cover the problem. Try Redken's Solve or American Crew's Anti-Dandruff shampoo. These shampoos really get to the root of the problem. Knowing this, please also know that the porblem will seemingly get worse for a week or so. DO NOT STOP USING the product!! If that happens, it's working. What is happening is that the product is getting o the ROOT of the problem. Once you notice the flakes are gone, stop using it. You do not need to use an anti dandruff shampoo every day for the rest of your life... Although Head and Shoulders might tell you different... :) good luck :) thebluedog 01-03-2006, 02:08 AM Try a natural product like Aveda's Rosemary and Mint shampoo. I have virtually no flaking and no longer have an itchy scalp. It works well! But other natural products may work just as well. :bouncing: |
