Anyone have ideas. At the present time I am planning a trip to Mayo. If anyone knows of a good, caring place please fill me in. I have been told that I have a idiopathic sensory neuropathy.

Have heard good things about the Jack Miller PN center in Chicago. I am too far away and have good Dr. here at any rate.

BH2004. If you go to Mayo ( in MN?), I hope you have a lot better luck than I did.

I am going to the one in Jacksonville. Did you have a bad experience?

You could say that. I saw a doc in physical medicine and rehabiliation when I went for a second opinion for neuropathy or RSD symptoms following ct release. After MRI, abnormal EMG, abnormal autonimic tests and normal bone scan, he basically told me my pain was in my head and to go home and live with it. I was led to believe before going over there, that I would be referred to the specialist best believed to treat my symptoms. the beginning of consult after all the testing...he started out by saying " Remember you came to me, I didn't come to you."
After that experience, I have heard there are some good doctors there and there are some arrogant s.o.b.'s...and I have heard of people getting mis- diagnosed. I guess, it is prudent to do homework on docs you are seeing or want to see.
