I started excercising on the elliptical....why is it when I decide to burn off excess calories...by anytype of excercise...I gain weight (muscle, I know), and get "puffy"? I get bloated, especially noticable around my face and legs.
Is it okay to to just eat less without all the excercise? Like let my body naturally burn the excess calories by eating about 400 less calories. (so i would be eating 800 cals a day.....?

800 is NOT recommended..that is far too little and will probably put you into starvation mode. Kids eat more than 800 a day.
