My friend has no medical insurance, and she desperatly needs to have a gastric bypass done. From what she says her doctor told her that her weight is starting to effect her health and has recommended a GB, but she has no insurance, and does not qualify for insurance through the state. She hasn't told me exactly how much she weighs, but I would guess around 350. She has tried alot of programs with no success. I would love to give her some good news, so if anyone has any ideas I could pas along to her it would be great. PS-also she can not buy insurance because he weight is to high all the companied have denied her.

If she could get a job that had group insurance, she might be covered. Though they may exclude it as a pre-existing condition. Perhaps a loan? Maybe she could get a home equity loan, sure is a tough situation.

I believe she has bad credit, and she doesn't own her home. She has 4 kidds, so if she works, then she will have to pay a babysitter which would pretty much cancel out anything she makes. Thanks for the suggestion though:)
