I just found out that my brother-in-law is taking Zoloft(which I know is for depression) but he is also taking amphetamine salt. What is it? and what does one take it for? Anyone know?

It's a generic version of adderall. guess your brother in law has also been dx with add/adhd.

It's Adderall. It's a stimulant usually used for ADD or concentration problems.

My boyfriend takes amphetamine salt to counteract the effects his anti-depressant has on his concentration. Maybe your BIL is doing the same.

thank you Johna and Timber for clearing that up. I definitely have heard of Aderall~but never Amphetamine salt~gosh the name of that just sounded prehistoric :D when I hear amphetamine I think of the old diet pills!
