Hi dani7882,
Were you already going through menopause before starting the Lupron injections? Why are you having them? I had them for 6 months and it put me in immediate menopause. When the shots where done I went back to normal, well sorta normal. I had a hysterectomy after all that so now i am back in menopause. But i'm 43 now. What symptoms are you having?
I'll check back later, Julie :bouncing:

You are not going through normal menopause. It is drug induced.

Thank you for replying. I feel as though i am on an emotional rollercoaster. Basically i feel pregnant. But when you are pregnant all the side effects are worth it for the end result. My face has broken out, Hot flashes, constant peeing, and i cry on hershy's commercials, not to mention a lot of hair growth everywhere. I keep reading all the side effects of all the medicines, and it really freaks me out. The pharmacists think my doctor is crazy. And ultimatley i will be having a total hysterectamy. My husband thinks i am crazy and it will only get worse. It seems like everyone i talk to says i am too young for this and has no understanding. Thank you so much i am glad there is an outlet for this and you have replied. Have a happy new year

Is this ovararian failure? Are you sure it is menopause and not just no/low estradoil, because you are having many of those symptoms it sounds like. Look at the websire earlymenopause.com and look into the blood count info, you need to have BOTH low estradiol AND high FSH for it to truely be menopause. Ask for your blood results, the exact numbers, note what time of the month the blood was taken and what numbers that lab uses as regular. Estradiol needs to be probabably 35 pg/mL or below and FHS probably needs to be about 20 mIU/mL or higher for menopause. Once you get the exact results, consult with another ob/gyn about your condition and a treatment plan. If your insurance does not allow that, try a free clinic or planned parenthood, they might at least be able to make a free phone call to an ob/gyn and get advice. GOOD LUCK!

Why are you on the Lupron? I think it might be hormone overload! The Lupron, from what I read causes the production of testosterone and estrogen. May be why you are growing more hair? and having all these symptoms. I would talk to your doctor. Are you only having these shots once a month? Maybe it is just too much for you.
BTW, if you have a hysterecomy, you will have to probably take hormones then too. Don't rush into having one. I have friends who have more problems after, than before. Do your research.
Wishing you well!

According to my doctors and the blood results i am goinf through menopause. However it is drug induced. I posed that question to see if anyone else has gone through this at this age. It is truley mind boggling to me that i am having my doctor do this to me.

So what is wrong with you that you are having to take all of these hormones? If you were bleeding alot or too much, there are options other than a hysterecomy now. Abulation is one. Maybe a D&C would work? Just wondering?
I am not trying to tell you what you should do, but I would question the reason for so much of it at your age. What does your doctor say is the reason? If you do have a hysterecomy, you will probably have every symptom you just described that you have now, but no period.
