Assuming that the white blood count is normal and the person has no other sickness, can anemia cause a person's temperature to become lower or higher?

Yes, some people will run a fever with anemia, and some will have below normal temperature. All the temperature deviation means is that the metabolic thermostat is confused because something is wrong. I generally run a fever when my anemia is progressing and my white blood counts drop lower which is actually a reverse of people who have infections and fever and the white counts go up.
