ok i woke up on xmas morning with a sore throat and tired body, and now 4 days on i am still feeling terrible, my body is sore, i have a sore throat and a cold but my problem is this:

normally when i have bad colds or the flu its gone by now or im at least feeling alot better but i feel WORSE! i have been just resting in bed most of the time since xmas and taking nuerofen cold&flu tabs...my Q is that if this was just a simple cold or flu shouldnt i be feeling better by now??? is there anything else that could be wrong with me?

I'm sorry you're feeling worse instead of better after 4 days. You're really fortunate that your colds usually don't last this long. The average lasts around 10 days. Some people have colds that seem to last for weeks. Actually, it's not just one cold, but a series of back to back colds. You might have a particularty bad strain this time. There's so many strains of the virus that there's no way of predicting which one you'll get. If you're not feeling better in a few days, then you should probably see a doctor. Colds don't usually cause complications such as pneumonia, but they certainly can. It happened to my mom once. Keep getting your rest, and like Laura said, be aware that stress can make things worse.
