my problem started with an abscess on the roof of my mouth.it got really big & was very painful! they took an x-ray & gave me an antibiotic. I was told i needed a root canal & made an appointment for a week later. the abscess did get smaller & I had the root canal (I should mention that my tooth didn't hurt before the root canal). two days later I went back because the abcsess was getting bigger again. was givin a different antibiotic's. ten days later the abscess was still there & still very uncomfortable. I was givin a third antibiotic & took it for twelve days. the swelling is gone but were it was on the roof of my mouth is still tender & I can feel with my tounge a dent. sometimes it hurts,sometimes it doesn't. should I worry ?

Was your root canal done by an endodontist? Just to be on the safe side, if it's bothering you, have a gum surgeon check it.
