I have never posted here, and don't even know if this is the right board. And I will probably give TMI... any way for the past several months I have not been able to have a BM... I mean I do but it is always hard and I am always constpated. Nothing works, not even laxatives. Here is the TMI part... some times it is like my colon isn't in the right place.. I mean for me to actually get something to come out I have to adjust on the toliet in wierd positions. Sooo one day when I was really in pain I decided to feel down there while I was pushing. Well I felt the BM so I kind of helped it out. And when I tried to do it again to get more out I noticed how far up it was... I mean I could feel the BM but it was way up there. Does any of this make sense? I have been lurking on this board for a few weeks and I am seriously thinking the worst about this. I have not had blood in my stools recently although I have before.

I do go see a doctor next week, it will be my first visit and it is just a regular doctor, do I bring it up to her? I just think it is wierd how even laxatives don't help me! I am just miserable.

Thanks

Hello and welcome...

Any change in bowel habits is worth mentioning to your doctor. You may be wise to have a colonoscopy to take a look up there. I would tell your doc at your appointment next week and ask for a referral to a GI.

Good luck,

It is possible to have a twist in the bowel but IIRC this should also be very painful. I assume you have tried cutting out all alcohol and caffinated drinks and getting more water and juices. Laxitives will not work well if you are dehydrated. 20 minutes of walking every day will help too.
