Hi, are you sure it isnt tori if it is that just means its growth of extra bone which isnt anything bad

i have Tori (Torus). very bad. all over. all quads, bottom, top front. it's crazy. and it hurts becuz i have it so bad. you can have an oral-surgeon remove the Tori. very simple. well, not simple, but you will feel better. if it's sharp and food rubs the gum off, you should have it sawed out. good luck

Tori and exostoses (another name for "boney-bits under the gum") are associated with both genetics (autosomal dominant) as well as trauma.
If the exostosis/tori are causing problems with eating, speaking, or hygiene, they can be surgically removed, either using a chisel or a bone-burr saw. Exostoses and tori generally cause problems with dentures, and must be removed for proper fit.
