Unfortunately, it's normal. You should start to feel somewhat better by tomorrow or the next day, as steriods act pretty quickly. By then, the antibiotic should be giving some relief as well.

Jason: now that you have started the antibiotics, the pain should ease up in 24-36 hours. saline nasal spray could also help clear out the mucus.

I just got back from the dr who told me I had a really bad sinus infection and my lungs are getting infected too. I have had it for two weeks and couldn't take it anymore so I went to the ER...I haven't been able to sleep for days becuase as soon as I lay down I immediately get stuffy!! :(

does anyone else's teeth/roof of mouth hurt with a sinus infection? This is the worst one I have ever had, and I get pretty regular migraines so I am used to head pain, but this takes the cake. I also have a really bad cough which makes my head hurt worse! The dr. gave me hycodan for the cough and Z-pak for the sinusitis...it's a 5 day antibiotic so hopefully I will be feeling better soon! Infected sinuses suck!!
