I have been having tingling in my jaw, pain, headaches, lightheadeness, ear pains ect and I have been diagnosed with TMJ but also was told to have my wisdom teeth out due to the fact that I am losing bone ( whatever that means haha). I am scheduled to have my teeth removed this week and I am hopeful that all my horrible symptoms especially the lightheadedness will go away with them. Is it possible that the wisdom teeth have caused all my health problems? and can they cause the tmj thing to be inflammed? Please respond and give me hope I have been so sick for almost 1 year that I have not been shopping or driving or alone for fear of blacking out since july 2000 all other test have come out ok except for my jaw and teeth. Thanks and sorry so long!@

Does anyone have an answer? I am having some dental problems now and wisdom teeth could be causing some problems and would be interested in any replys to the above question and that is why I have tried to bring this thread back to life. Thanks.

Tiffane,
What is your lightheadedness like. I had the same thing going on....lightheadedness 24/7, headaches, my jaw would lock some mornings and I was so down in the dumps especially with the lightheaded feeling. I searched and searched - test after test.....nothing. I came to realize it was all anxiety, which I have somewhat under control now. I never thought in a million years that it could be anxiety. I don't know if having your wisdom teeth pulled will help your situation with how you feel....only time will tell. If you dentist is 100% sure that you should have them pulled, then I would do it, BUT does he know your symptoms? Good luck this week. I've had two of mine removed and it's not that bad at all!

I have alot of the same symptoms. Please let us know if your wisdom teeth was the cause of your problems or if you found something else to be the problem.
