I am still feeling a little pinch or pain from my right side of my mouth when I tried to chew the food. Does the dentist or oral surgeon do the x-ray if something wrong with my jaw?

Hi there,
From your other posts, I gather that you have just had your wisdom teeth out in Nov. That isn't very long ago. I also had mine out then. It takes about two months for a good healer to heal that and if you are a poor healer, it is bound to take a lot longer. The first wisdom tooth I had extracted in February caused aches and pains well into July. My IAN was affected so a lot of sharp shooting pain was felt. Lots of sleepless nights. My bite was altered so my ear began to ache as well. I had a dentist x-ray the extraction site again at the end of May and only soft tissue had formed, no real calcification yet. During extraction, bite is often affected as the jaw can be strained and even slightly displaced. A deep throb would be bad news, a pinching pain sounds like some nerves may have been affected. I am not a dr....just thinking of possiblities. Give it time...relax...when my ached I found that a hot pack really helped ease it up. I have a night guard that I don't wear anymore because it actually strained my jaw even more. Try taking two Advils before you go to bed every night. You may feel a difference. After extraction, did you bend your head down often? Were you physically active a lot? Are you salivating normally or do you have a dry mouth and a foul taste?
Take it easy, be patient...the body is beautifully complex and needs time to repair itself,
Take care

I do bend a lot at work by going up and down. I really didn't have much time off from my job.

The oral surgon putting me dry socket treatment in my socket now. I just want this pain to go away since I hardly can't eat much and hard time sleeping.

Should I ask my oral surgeon to do the x-ray to be sure?

I will see my oral surgon on Tuesday to check the pack and I can ask him if he can check my jaw and maybe do the x-ray.

Should I reduce my bending down and take it easy during the evening? I do move a lot with my body in my job and at home. I have been lying down on my bed to relax during the evening.

I just have to see what the oral surgeon said about my pinching pain when I open my mouth to eat and sleeping on it. I only can sleep on my right side at nights. I can't sleep on my back or on the left side since it not comfortable.

I hope good solution is to x-ray to be sure if nothing wrong inside my mouth. I don't want to cause anymore surgery since I had 3 already from my right side.
