So i went to the dentist the other day again and I get to go back on Jan 5th to make impressions for my top denture. Does this mean I will have them soon.

Mine took 2 weeks-for the partial and the upper. It depends on how fast your lab is, but the office should be able to tell you..

Yes it is a complete upper denture. I have my bottom teeth still, well most of them. They needed some repairing but al that is complete. I have been getting a appt. about every week. I am getting so excited to have teeth again. Even though they are dentures. Thanks for the help.
Have a great New Year

Don't be jumping in your seat just yet-those things are a PAIN (literally) but maybe you can tolerate them better than I can..I think men can tolerate them a lot better than women..Any thoughts? Is it because you guys are so tough? lol!

Hey wintersun thanks again for the reply. First I am female also. My father and numerous people I know have dentures and they all say if you get the right fit you will love them. But everyone is different I guess. I understand I may not be as fortunate but its to late so go back so Im stuck with dealing with it. Again thanks for the reply.

If the dentures are well made then you wont have a lot of problems 'breaking' them in.also remember dentures are poor replacement for natural teeth, meaning you wont be able to eat as well as with your own natural teeth;but since you have teeth in the lower jaw, you will do fine. Be careful about maintaining them clean though.also I heard some people say that the upper denture cracks in the middle (if it is not made of a strong material ) when there are natural teeth in the lower jaw. Take care
