I was wondering something. Twice in the past year I got like a underneath the skin type sore. Like it never surfaced, looked kinda purple in color and was sore like a zit would be, but nothing other then that. Has anyone has a symptom like this. It dawned on me recently that this could of been herpes, but considering what I have experienced with my 2 outbreaks that I knew were herpes and in the same spot both times, I didn't really think about those 2 other time. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or opinions on this.

I also had some sores like this before I ever had an "outbreak"...looking back on them, I suppose they were herpes related but I didn't know it at the time. They came up and went away in 3 or 4 days. They were after my first exposure to herpes...probably a few months.

yea, these were more like a bruise I think, maybe from friction. but who knows, wish I knew a long time ago that this virus comes in all shapes and sizes

You can say that again! Oh and I wouldn't describe my sores as purple but I guess they are a dark pinkish/reddish color though. So they aren't purple like a bruise color purple though. My outbreak is so totally different than my BF's is and he's the one it came from!
