I dont know if anyone knows or could offer an answer but i was just wondering if you can get genital herpes from picking at a cold sore at random times during the day and then maybe touching or itching or anything later :confused:

I think I've read that Herpes can be spread by the fingers if you've touched (or picked at) yours sores and then touched your genitals.. just like it can make a cold sore worse by messing with it.. It helps spread it.

I don't know how common it is or what the odds are however... Sorry - hopefully someone else can shed more light.

i mean the sores werent all the way open i dont really even think they were open at all...i just kinda have a stupid habit of picking at scabs
