I am mixed (black/white) and have just above the shoulder curly/ frizzy hair. I was using ProStyle until they changed the formula on me. I'm now using Proclaim Blue Ice Styling Gel. It works good, but I'd like something that works even better! If you have similar hair and can give me tips, I'd be grateful. Happy New Years!

There no other mixed women on here? Please- any advise would be appriciated. However, I must say that I do not want to put a relaxer in my hair. Thanks!

I'm not "mixed" but I can say that I don't blame you about not wanting to put a relaxer on your hair. Have you read the ingredients in those relaxers?? YIKES!

I'm not certain what the products you have been using are suppose to do for your hair. I have used a product called Carrot Cream with good results for soft yet manageable hair. I have a natural curl in my hair that likes to frizz during humid weather. In the winter, it's worse because the climate is dry. The Carrot Cream has helped tremendously.

I've also use TRI a "fashion styling mousse" by the Institute of Tri-chology. I purchased mine at the hair salon. It's a foam mousse with a medium hold but adds shine and keeps hair in place. Great for crunching up the curls and they are still soft.

I hope this helped you or answered your question, somewhat.
