View Full Version : Could this be cancer?

I am 34 years old and my symptoms began last Feb. From Feb to June I did not have a period. I had my tubes tied in 1999 but the doc did a preg test (neg) and then said to just wait and see. I started bleeding in june and bled heavily for about 10 weeks. Again the doc said to just wait. Since then I have rarely gone more than a few days to a week without bleeding. I will just stand up and start flooding(sorry) and have big clots. Sometimes this will last for days or just a few hours. Some days it is just spotting but very bright red or pink. I just found out last week that five of my father's six sisters had uterine cancer between 30 and 35. The sixth sister had both breasts removed in late 20's for precancer growths. They also believe my Dad's mother had uterine cancer in late 30's. What are the signs of uterine cancer? What is the risk I could have this? Does it matter that it is my dads family and not my moms. I am pretty worried right now. Thank you for any help.

Hi Ladyokie. Has your doctor done a pap smear or ultra sound? If not I think you should ask for these to be done. There are apparently many other reasons for unusual bleeding, but you need to check and find out what is causing it. If for no other reason than to set your mind at rest.
Hope you get some more informative replies, I am new to this scenario too.
All the best.
