I've had Gerd for 5 years and have been on Aciphex, 20 mg/day. It has always helped regularly with any reflux, heartburn, etc. Although at times, I do experience mild reflux, gas, etc. Lately, I've been having a gurgling stomach like I have a lot of gas and in the am when my stomach is empty I get a LOUD rumbling. I have also been having mild heartburn before waking in the morning. My anxiety is high right now, I'm nervous about something upcoming and wondering if I'm producing too much acid. :confused:

Does Gerd cause the excess gas and rumbling?

I get the same thing, however, I think it's due to IBS. I do notice that it's worse when I have stress.
